An elected official is only as good as his or her word. Consequently, I only make promises that I know I will keep. Here are 3 straightforward, honest promises that I will make as I represent you on the Provo City Council:

  1. I Promise to serve on the Provo City Council for the full 4 years of my term. I do not aspire to higher office. I have no desire to use my council seat as a stepping stone for other elected positions. You deserve to have a fully-committed and fully-focused council member representing you for the full term.
  2. I Promise to spend a sensible amount of money in this campaign. I am confident that I can earn your vote based on my ideas, my integrity and my experience. I will do you the courtesy of not spending tens of thousands of dollars to buy your vote.
  3. I Promise to bring to the council every ounce of my 30 years’ experience as the Provo City Fire Chief and as a Provo City Firefighter. I will serve on the Provo City Council with the same passion, thoughtfulness, and skill that I did when I directed, on your behalf, 80+ employees and a multi-million dollar budget.
